In 1989 the Canadian Pacific celebrated the 100th anniversary of its completion of the Atlantic to Pacific transcontinental railroad. They unleashed a legacy steam locomotive and passenger cars to celebrate at stops along the way, including Brownville Jct in central Maine. In this photo, CP 1201 is heading east across Onawa Trestle near Borestone Mt. to honor the railroad legacy that built Brownville Jct. and completed the Canadian Transcontinental in 1889.
